- Advice about Care Funding
Local
Authority funding may be available to you if your financial circumstances
meet the necessary criteria. We will be pleased to advise you of
the action you should take to determine such funding if you.
The Governments'
Choice Directive under the " Care in the Community
" Programme affords you the right to choose your
preferred Care Home, be this a Private or Local Authority home.
Please
contact us for advice before making any decision about short or
long term residential care where Local Authority, or private funding
is involved. The rules on funding are now quite complex and
are often means-tested, and you should not make any decision which
affects your finances before seeking proper advice. Suitable Independent
Financial Advisors ( IFAs ), who will offer advice free of
charge, are locally available, and we can provide names of such
regulated advisors on request.
